Pixi Beauty has released new nail polish colors for spring, and they are vibrant! So much so that I had a bit of trouble capturing the neon orange in the collection with my camera!

There are six new Pixi Beauty shades, according to the brand website: Rosewine, Sizzling Sunshine, L.A. Blue, Oh So Orange, Lime Lustre and Makeup Artist Mauve.

I’ve got three of those six new shades to share with you today and they are BRIGHT!

Oh So Orange:

Oh So Orange is a neon orange! I’m not even sure I captured this traffic cone, traffic-stopping neon color! I used two coats here, and it was opaque. Formula was great, my nails looked smooth and the polish applied easily. I used the second photo, which was taken indoors in shaded light, to show just how much this glows! It’s a great shade for summer, too.

Lime Lustre:

Lime Lustre is a beautiful light, spring green mixed with mint green, and it has a beautiful green pearly shimmer that looks like a sheen. I thought maybe Lime Lustre and JulieG Tahiti might be similar, but Tahiti has less mint, the green shimmer is slightly darker and it’s more like a shimmer than a pearly sheen. They are definitely different polishes. This is shown here in two coats. Formula was again easy to apply.

Sizzling Sunshine:

Sizzling Sunshine is a lemon yellow with yellow shimmer. It’s not pearly like Lime Lustre, its definitely shimmer! Formula applied a little less evenly than the others, but it was still opaque in two coats and looked good. I’m so excited to see yellow popular again for the warmer weather this year!

The new Pixi Nail Color shades retail for $8, and can be found on the Pixi Beauty website here, or at Target or Target.com (it looks like only the three shown here are available through Target.com right now).

What do you think of these new shades? Have you tried Pixi nail polish yet? Planning to pick up any of these spring colors?! I’d love to hear what you think!

I love these fun colors! Is there any decently priced items (cuticle oils, base coats, top coat nail polishes, etc.) you would suggest for a beginner on the nail polish bandwagon? I’d appreciate any help – thanks!

    • BeautyJudy

Oh wow! There are so many products out there! I’m not sure if it’s decently priced, but I love CND Solar Oil for my cuticles. I use a treatment base coat, Rejuvacote by Duri; but there are lots of great base coats out there from Sally Hansen to indie polish companies. I had a lot of trial and error, personally, and I find that I have to change my base coat every so many months. So I’d recommend trying to find something that works for you and if you need a treatment look for something (brittle, dry nails or peeling, etc). Top coat – my Holy Grail is Glisten & Glow HK Girl fast dry and Cult Nails Wicked Fast! I know there are some that love the fast dry Sally Hansen but I forget what it’s called! I hope that helps :)

I had to do an order at Target online yesterday and since the local Target doesn’t carry Pixi I figured I might as well get them! I ordered Oh So Orange and Lime Luster and can’t wait to get them!!!!

Oh, I hope you’ll let me know how you like them Robin!
