I’ve had winter on the brain – we got what is HOPEFULLY our last, big winter storm of the season Sunday into Monday and I wrote this post Sunday while waiting for the flurries to start flying – I am SO eager to celebrate spring!
But in the meantime, there’s a winter polish collection you have to see - Morgan Taylor Glam Rock Winter Collection!
“The Glam Rock capsule collection is made for the girl who’s a little bit edgy and very chic,” said Taylor Daniel, (Taylor of Morgan Taylor!), in a press release.
These polishes are pretty little numbers. Check them out!
Polished Up Punk:
Polished Up Punk is a beautiful, glossy navy creme. It’s shown here in two coats but was easily opaque in one coat. So stunning, and one of my favorites. I love a good blue creme.
Better In Leather:
Better in Leather is a black (creme, I think!) base with two different sizes of hex silver glitter. It’s a neat effect. This is shown in two coats.
Pretty Wild is a lavender greige creme, and applied like butter. I thought this looked great against my fairer complexion. Shown here in two coats, but it was opaque in one. There’s a bit more of a touch of lavender than my pictures are sharing!
Studs and Stilettos:
Studs and Stilettos is a black jelly base loaded with gunmetal glitter. It’s shown here in two coats, but I might have wanted to use a third for full opacity. This was probably my least favorite of all the polishes, it just didn’t speak to me. The formula was a little more thin than the others in the collection, and the brush on my bottle was wonky (which is probably a bottle fluke, I own many other MT polishes and not one other wonky brush).
Rebel With a Cause:
Rebel With a Cause is a deep burgundy pearl polish. Shown here in two coats, it was another that was opaque in one. This is a beautiful, glowing red! If you look at that last photo, you can see the hints of magenta in the nail bed that you can obviously see in the bottle. Pretty polish with depth!
Little Misfit is a lavender and aqua duochrome polish, and it was one of my favorites from this collection. It’s shown here in two coats. This one did pool a bit on the sides of my nails, so use light coats and wait for the first to dry a bit before going after with the second.
Overall, I really liked the variety and colors in this collection. I am obsessed with how smooth the Morgan Taylor creme formula is, and in love with their duochromes and shimmers. Rebel With a Cause, Polished Up Punk, Pretty Wild and Little Misfit are my favorites here.
Morgan Taylor nail polish is a professional brand, and available at Cosmoprof stores. But what if you are less professional manicurist… more like professional polish addict?! Based on my own quick Google search, if you look online, there are stores where you can find this polish.
These are limited-edition though, get ‘em while they’re….cold? (you know, winter collection…cold? No? Ok. I’ll shut up now LOL!)
I’d love to know what you think of these in the comments below!
