I saw the beautiful L’Oreal Gold Dust Colour Riche Nail Lacquers, and fell in love. I’m still really into texture polishes, and these glittery versions caught my eye in the drugstore beauty aisle right away around the holidays.
I picked up only three of the nine, but picked the ones that seemed most unique to me: Hidden Gems, I Like It Chunky and Too Dimensional?
Check out swatches of my choices!
Hidden Gems is one of my favorite polishes of 2013 (you can read my full list here!) It’s a beautiful, blackened teal base with silver glitter pieces and amazing shimmer. I put top coat over this polish, and couldn’t take my eyes off my hands. Well done, L’Oreal, well done!!
I Like It Chunky:
The name of this polish disturbs me, I Like It Chunky, lol. But the polish itself is an amazing rusty, peachy, glowy base with silver glitter. What a unique texture and hue in my collection!
Too Dimensional is another beautiful polish, a dark periwinkle with a golden shimmer and silver glitter. Hidden Gems is my favorite, followed by Too Dimensional? And no, L’Oreal, it’s not too dimensional. It’s just right!
I wore/swatched all three with two coats. They are typical textures, although I did top coat Hidden Gems.
I really love the way brands are reinventing the texture craze to keep it going. Adding glitter. Adding subtle duochrome (can you see that in the Hidden Gems pics? There’s a slight hint of purple that shows up in the bottle but doesn’t translate on the nail). They’re adding shimmers and making them stand out!
I think I picked these up at CVS, but I’ve seen them at Rite Aid, too, I believe!
Did you pick any of these polishes up? Which one do you like of these three – or if you love one of the others, I’d love to know which one!
