Life has been an out of control roller coaster ride. Nonstop but laughs and thrills along the way. All the stress is good stress, whether it’s at work or at home. I am feeling blessed!

A couple weekends ago, I MADE myself sit down and prep more than one blog post this week, because it is so cathartic for me to blog. I also have things I can’t wait to share with you and it’s taking forever because I’ve been so swamped! But writing about beauty is an escape and a way for me to clear my mind. Do you have something like that in your life?!

Making time for blogging was in my relaxing theme for that weekend, which was weekend before my wedding, when I also got myself some pampering – a facial, massage and treated myself to a nice Thai food lunch. The best part was that all I paid out of pocket for the two hours of spa services was $20 plus two tips!!!

Anyway! Back to the review at hand! I am really happy to share with you a new line of lipsticks – Jane Iredale has launched PureMoist Lipstick, and I took three of for a test drive at the perfect time – my lips were chapped and in NEED of moisture!

In September, the brand introduced 24 shades in this new line, which features orange peel wax, avocado and sunflower seed oils to condition and moisturize lips; moringa oil to soothe; Vitamins A and C and coffee seed extract for antioxidant protection and organic pomegranate and blackberry fruit extracts to provide yummy flavor/scent to the lipsticks! They’re also very well pigmented.

How about some swatches?! Here’s a back-of-the-hand swatch of three of the new lippies I recently tried:

From left to right: Kaylee, Lily and Margi

Margi:

Margi is a creamy, matte true red. This is such a soft and feminine red; it brings out my blue eyes, and it’s not only the perfect red for work, but it will take me on the dance floor, too!

Kaylee:

Kaylee is a creamy, matte nude shade. This is quite possibly the most perfect neutral lipstick for me!

Lily:

Lily is a sheer, pink coral hue. Perfect with a grey smokey eye!

I mentioned that I tried these lipsticks when my lips were chapped. Talk about timing. I can tell you for certain that these lipsticks made my lips softer, and didn’t just “coat” the chapped parts. It actually penetrated my lips and made a difference in how they felt and healed. I think it was the second day I was wear-testing the three lipsticks that it dawned on me that they were making a difference.

The PureMoist lipsticks retail for $25 each and are available at select skin care specialists and beauty apothecaries across the world, as well as through the Jane Iredale website here. This is a lipstick brand and type that I will buy in the future, as soon as wedding is over (and Holy Cow, I guess I need to start thinking about holiday gifts…actually…the women in my life would LOVE these lipsticks). Anyway. Bottom line, I am straight up with you that I am straight up bought into these lipsticks. The problem in future purchases is what lipstick shade do I want most?! I need to find some lip swatches of all of them!

Have you ever tried Jane Iredale lip products? I love their PureGloss Lip Gloss, too. I’d love to hear what you think about these new lipsticks in the comments!

Glad you’re back to blogging Mrs! If only that driver behind you (3rd photo) knows you’re doing some selfie time, haha! I haven’t tried Jane Iredale yet but I’ve read nice things about it.

Thanks, Kath! Thankfully there was no driver – I was parked and those were parked cars behind me … don’t selfie and drive should be everyone’s motto LOL! Jane Iredale is a brand that I may not have gotten into without the introduction, but is worth the splurge for quality. I truly do recommend trying the brand – especially something like their SPF powder foundation or this lipstick. It really did help.
