Goin’ to the Chapel, and She’s Gonna Get Married…

Hi, I’m Nidia, and I run a little blog called Lit From Within.  When Judy put out the call for guests blogs so that she could go and get hitched, I was thrilled to be able to help out!

I’ve been married 18 years now, and when I got married, I wore press-on nails in pale pink.  So, it got me to thinking that if I were to get married again now, what might I wear on my nails?

So, away to Pinterest I went, and found this Pin that, unfortunately, I don’t know who to attribute the art to.  But I loved the idea.  I started with Essie Demure Vixen, a pale mauve with a pink shimmer.

I love holos. LOVE. I practically have a shrine to Spectraflair in my house.  So, I made an exaggerated curve French Tip using this gorgeous white holo from Lacquer Lust called Eternal Bliss.  How perfect, really.

The final design has three stripes that start thick at the tip, and curve and thin out towards the nail bed.  I thought it would be easier to do the glitter first, so I could place some glitters where I wanted them.  This is Cirque Fleur Est Belle.  Love the pink base and gold glitters.

I used a nail brush to make the second stripe with the same white holo as before, and then a pop of color with the gorgeous shimmery wine of Revlon Enrapture, from the Brilliant Strength line.

Topcoat makes all the difference! It smooths out the glitter, and makes all the layers of polish look like one.

This is pretty me!  Somewhat traditional, with a little flair for the dramatic.
