6 (or 7!) Gift Ideas for the Nail Addict on Your Shopping List!

Disclaimer: Some products provided for review. See bottom for more.

If you’re in the U.S.A.,you know it’s Black Friday! Today is one of the biggest shopping days of our calendar year, when people go out to catch some sales and check folks off of their holiday shopping lists.

Yes, I go out for Black Friday shopping. But no, I didn’t go out at 8 p.m. last night. I don’t support the stores opening earlier than midnight Thanksgiving night. A big reason is because I love the excitement and novelty of shopping after midnight! The other part is because I don’t like how commercial Thanksgiving is becoming.

Anyway. Here’s a quick list of gift ideas for the nail lover on your shopping list. Best part? You don’t even have to fight the shopping crowds to get some of these fun, trendy gifts!

kbshimmer

1. KB Shimmer Winter 2013 Nail Polish

The 22 new hues in the KB Shimmer Winter/Holiday collection are such a range of glittery, shimmery and multichrome-y shades that there is sure to be something to please the nail polish lover on your holiday shopping list. Plus, the savvy nail polish addict who reads/views nail polish blogs will love the fact that 11 popular nail bloggers collaborated with the indie brand to make half the collection! Above are some of the polishes from the collection, including one of my favorites, Snow Much Fun, a collaboration with Victoria from Manicurator. Customer service at KB Shimmer is great, and shipping is quick.

These polishes retail for $8.75 and can be found at www.kbshimmer.com.

2. Gelish Mini Kit from Sally’s

If you need a “big gift” idea for the nail addict on your shopping list, this gift is it.

I change my nail polish on the regular, and the last thing I thought I’d find useful is a gel manicure kit. But honestly? It’s been a lifesaver. And if you take your time in removal, you won’t destroy your nails.

If I have work travel or anything coming up, I whip out my Gelish Soak-Off Gel Polish kit and in under an hour I have a long-lasting, glossy nail look for whatever the week, or two, holds.

The Gelish Mini Complete Starter Kit costs $99.95 ($89.95 with Beauty Club Card) and includes everything you need to get started, from the lamp, treatments and two polishes. If you want to add a couple color choices, Gelish Mini Gel Polishes are $12.95 each – right now online, on sale for $10 a piece. There’s also the Trends collection, which retails for $16.96 ($14.95 with Beauty Club Card). You can buy the kit and polishes in Sally Beauty Stores, or online at www.sallybeauty.com.

butter london

3. Butter London Double Take Fire & Ice duos

I spotted these when I got my hair done at Ulta for my wedding. The blue in the above photo is more duochrome-appearing in the bottle with a pink shift. I can’t wait to use these together!

But what a fun stocking stuffer for the nail polish collector! According to Butter London, this is “IIce” of the Fire & Ice Double Take 2-Piece Sets. Each one contains new shades (Rebel Fox, Brass Monkey in one and in the one pictured above, Bluecoat on the left, and Leccy on the right).

This can be found at Ulta, Ulta.com, butterlondon.com and b-glowing.com for $24 each set.

4. Jesse’s Girl JulieG Frosted Gum Drops Collection Holiday 2013

Jesse’s Girl and JulieG have done it again with the texture craze – the brand has released six new JulieG Frosted Gum Drops polishes for holiday 2013, and they are vibrant, jewel-toned and PERFECT stocking stuffers!

Or, if you have a nail lover on your list, what a cute idea to grab all six of these, and a bag of gum drops, and wrap it all up?! That’d be a roughly $25-$30 gift (depending on the sales tax and type of candy you buy!)

These retail for $3.99 a piece and can be found at www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com, and Rite Aid!

sally hansen

5. Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art products

On a recent visit to Walgreens, I spotted a new, full display of nail art goodies from Sally Hansen! Included were a bunch of new I Love Nail Art Pens – the one above is silver. They are fine-pointed.

There was also a box of glitter, and a box of I Love Nail Art Studs Kit, like the one shown above. Included in that kit is a vial each of black and clear rhinestones, and a vial of gold studs.

A great idea to package together with a couple new nail polishes to allow the nail addict on your list to unleash their creativity!

I scored the Pen for $5.99, and the Stud kit for $6.49, both from Walgreens.

Bonus 7. – MoYou London Plates

moyou

I am putting this suggestion in as a bonus because for those in the United States, shipping takes three to four weeks and you might not get the plates in time for Christmas morning, and definitely not for Hanukkah!

But, MoYou London Nail Art Stamping Plates are like the new big thing in stamping – these plates come in pretty folders and have all kinds of fun designs on them. I love the decade-themed plates, and just looking at them sparks creativity.

For the nail art lover on your list, these are a great idea! You can get these plates directly from moyou.co.uk or through amazon.com (how I purchased mine). Like I said, allow three to four weeks for delivery! They cost roughly $9.99 a plate.

So what do you think – see anything on this list for your nail lovers?! Anything you want on YOUR list?! I’d love to hear your good nail gift ideas in the comments below, too!
