I’m such a huge fan of multi-use palettes, because sometimes I just enjoy having someone else (aka, a brand) tell me, “these shades are all coordinated, use them and you can’t go wrong.”
Each time I used the Pixi Beauty Lit-Up Lovely Perfection Palette, I created soft looks and smokey eyes that go well with my fairer skin. It was easy to pick shades in the palette for a look, because they all work together in harmony, and I couldn’t go wrong.
The palette comes with a block of 16 eye shadows, a highlighter, three blushes, a highlighter and a bronzer:
Check out some arm swatches of the highlighter and bronzer powder:
Here’s the three blushes:
Very soft shades.
The top row of eye shadow:
Four nice highlighter shades that are great for the inner corner of the eye to brighten your eye for accent, too.
Start getting into some nice lid colors here, some can also be used to brow for highlight.
Lots of great lid and outer corner shades!
Beautiful crease shades.I love that there are pink and brown options in this palette.
Check out a couple looks I did!
For this one, I used eye shadow, blush and the highlighter from the palette:
My face is very dewy with the Highlighter used all over, I actually toned it down in spots with face powder. But I love the soft, enhanced look this face of the day provided me.
Another soft look, but with a smoky eye. I love the shimmer and dewy finish of the blushes, too.
Overall, I had no application issues with the shadows, blushes or powders. Admittedly, because I fail at using bronzer, I haven’t tried that part of the palette yet. I swatched all the shadows without primer, but I wear them with primer. I didn’t have any pigmentation issues and even the lightest top row of shades shows up on my brow bone. The lightest blush is more like a pink highlighter for me, and I most often use the blush to the far left in the swatch picture. I bet the shimmer in that light pink looks beautiful on darker skin tones.
This palette is seriously perfect for me, especially because I have some work travel coming up, and I wear it frequently for work anyway! I’ll be on the road (I get to go to Key Largo, FL, and Washington D.C., back to back!) for three days this month, and since I’ll need work appropriate looks all three days, this palette will knock out my need to pack blush, eye shadow and highlighter. All I need is one eyeliner, mascara, foundation or BB Cream, and a lippie. Oh, and brushes! This will be the most low maintenance my makeup bag has ever been for a work trip!
I think this palette is perfect for the corporate warrior, the woman who likes to enhance yet not dramatically change her face, and it would be a great way for young girls to get into makeup, as well. Teach them how to enhance their features, vs. making themselves up, do you know what I mean?
This is also the kind of palette that I would buy now, and put aside for stocking stuffers!!
What do you think? Is this a palette that interests you? Do you need something with work appropriate options, or are you more daring during the week? I’d love to know what you think!
