There’s a new lippie in town, and it is quickly becoming one of my everyday-makeup-look favorites!

Jordana Cosmetics introduces Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain, a retractable, self-sharpening lip balm stain that applies with a glossy finish, but leaves a light stain of color behind.

Check out swatches of all of them:

I’m the tool that forgot which color is which, and can’t tell you what they are from left to right. Good thing I marked all my swatches!

What I love about these? My pout required little maintenance because of the staying power of the stain!

How about some lip swatches? They’re pretty inconsistent, because I wore them over the course of several days. I have tried, and I just can’t swatch lippies. I give props to those who can. I need to wear them, because swatching them gives me a bad chapped situation!

First photo is with flash, second is in natural, shaded light. Love this soft, pinky nude. Kind of a “my lips but better” shade.

Sweet Pink:

Tropical Frenzy is a nice dark, bright pink.

Candied Coral is the perfect coral for me and my pale skin!

Honey Love is a light mauve pink. One of my favorites, especially for work.

Cranberry Crush is a juicy berry shade.

Rock N Rouge:

Rock N Rouge is a red that you don’t have to be afraid of. It’s not too dark and unforgiving in application; it’s no pressure!

Terra Crave:

Terra Crave is a great terra cotta hue.

Twist & Shine retails for $2.99 at Walgreens, and comes in all eight shades shown here.

I love how easy they are to apply, they slip right into my cosmetic bag in my purse or into my pocket. Love that they feel glossy on, and wear down to a stain, but my lips don’t feel dry. I only felt the need to reapply on days when I had later afternoon meetings and wanted to freshen up a bit.

These lip balm stains are paraben-free and made in the U.S.A.

Those look similar to the Revlon lip balms that I like so much, except they are less than half the price! I’ll have to check it out. I’m thinking terracotta or coral.

They are great quality, for a great price. I am continually impressed with the drugstore makeup on the lower end of the price scale. Jordana is a great brand that deserves the attention! You’ll have to let me know which one you get, or if you get both! 😉
