I didn’t know that The Balm Cosmetics made nail polish, until I went to Cosmoprof!
What struck me immediately when I saw the polishes was that in having a modest line, the brand has created color choices that are bold and playful! I was excited to try a few of these pretties for myself!
Pale in Comparison:
Pale in Comparison is a milky nude polish. I added gold shimmer tips to this mani! It’s shown here in two coats. Great work appropriate option.
Pink or Swim:
Pink or Swim is a beautiful, vibrant hot pink coral color. It’s so eye-searing, and screams summer. It screams fall and winter and spring, too. I would wear this all year round. It’s so HOT! I’m in love.
Call Me Iridescent:
Call Me Iridescent is a beautiful pink/peachy duochrome with micro silver sparkles. Although I’ve seen similar duochromes, the sparkle in this took me by surprise, this feels like a playful, light but complicated hue!
Let’s Make a Teal:
Let’s Make a Teal is a beautiful teal creme, opaque in two coats here. I’m as obsessed with this as I am with Pink or Swim for its vibrancy and wow factor. And, this shade is great for Teal Toes for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month – coming up in just a few days!
Overall, I was really impressed with this line of lacquer.I had no application issues, and I like the shape of the bottle and length of the brush/handle. There’s about 31 shades in the line, and three treatments. Each bottle retails on The Balm’s site here for $10.
What really stands out to me is the brand’s shade selection; it’s so fun and playful, and it’s full of color!
I also love the pin up feel of the brand in general – that bottle logo is great!
There are many more must-try shades for me in this line! Some that particulary stand out to me: Root Beer Gloat, Candy Apple a Day, A Case of the Blues, Hella Yella, and Sky Blue Right Past You.
What do you think? Have you tried Hot Ticket Nail Polish from The Balm?! Which of the four shades shown here do you like?! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
