I had no idea that the Wet n’ Wild Fergie Center Stage Collection was going to expand this summer! But it did!
I stopped by Walgreens randomly and found an end cap display of the new products – which include new shades of nail polish, eye shadow palettes and brand new lip glosses.
I snatched up several of the products – the price point of Wet n’ Wild is awesome for the quality. One of the first things I used was this eye shadow palette in “Shades of the Hamptons.” Check it out:
I love the pretty light greens and blue, the lavender pink, and that peachy color in the middle that has a little bit of a pink shimmer to it!
Here’s what I did with it:
I used all the shades on my lid, plus, Stila Smudge-Proof Waterproof eyeliner in Turquoise, black mascara (I can’t remember the name!) and LA Splash Lengthening Mascara in Vibrant Blue on the outer lashes. I can’t recall my face, except that I was also wear-testing a Michael Marcus Lipstick in Dawn that totally didn’t match, but didn’t look that terrible that I didn’t walk out the door this way LOL. I did change my lippie after this wore off, to something that was more pink!
Anyway. The shadows were relatively light on the lid over eye shadow primer. I applied them with brushes and built up coverage. I’ve been thinking about trying to apply shadows like this with the sponge-tip applicators that come with them, to see if you can pack on more color and pat the sponge on the lid for more pigmentation. I just don’t want to put so much product on my lid that it creases or falls out during the day!
I don’t mind the mild, light look, though. The Turquoise liner was a strong accent on my lid with the eye shadow and totally pops. But the lighter shades mean I can use black or brown eyeliner, and black mascara, for a more work appropriate look if I want.
This palette was $4.99 and I found it at Walgreens. I’m not sure where else it might be available; I haven’t seen these at CVS or Rite Aid.
If you haven’t seen the summer Fergie collection yet, keep an eye out! They are limited edition pieces. What do you think of the Shades of the Hamptons palette? Does it pique your interest?!
