I’ve never been a big fan of seaweed in my food. Sushi? Tried it more than a dozen times. Hate it. It feels slimey when it hits me in the ocean. I get all girly and freaked out. But in beauty products? I  can’t help but love seaweed.

I recently had the opportunity to try out Reviva Labs All Natural Seaweed Soap, and my nose was grateful that the soap does NOT smell like the ocean, sushi or, really, seaweed! LOL

Seaweed Soap isn’t made with a base of animal tallow – instead, it’s made with a base of palm and coconut oils. Here’s a list of the ingredients:

The seaweed is all scrubby, so you feel like you’re exfoliating a bit while you lather up! Here’s a photo of the soap and my hand, when it’s all lathered up!:

This soap is meant to “eliminate toxins and brighten skin,” and so far, after more than a week of everyday use, I feel like this definitely makes a difference in how it cleans my skin.

When I get done using this soap, my skin feels refreshed and squeaky clean without being dry. The combination of all natural ingredients really create a gentle, clean scent that stays with me well into the morning, but isn’t overpowering at all.

I will buy this soap, for sure! It is sold as a 4.5 oz bar, for $4. Not bad! I have found Reviva Labs in a lot of different places, from the drugstore to the beauty supply shop to Ulta. You can also purchase the soap from the Reviva Labs website here.

Have you tried this soap? What do you think about seaweed in beauty products?! This is a homerun for me.
