I wasn’t sure if I’d get to write a post for today because I had a colonoscopy yesterday and I slept most of the day away! I’ve been having some problems with my system, which is nutso because of how much better I’ve been eating! But I think we’re getting to the bottom of it. The doc said he took a few biopsies of some concerning areas in my colon, there’s a possibility I might have Crohn’s disease. I’ll know in two to three weeks. I also had bloodwork the day before that’s testing me for Celiac disease. So hopefully, I’ll have answers soon.
I’m just glad the procedure is over with. I’m looking forward to answers, and moving forward!
What better distraction from digestion system issues than mascara, right?! Hahaha.
Wet n’ Wild Turn Up the Volume mascara is part of the Fergie Center Stage Collection released earlier this year.
It comes in one color, Big Girls Don’t Cry (black), and promises maximum volume, extreme length and instant lash extension with a false-lash fiber formula. Wet n’ Wild says that this mascara also has botanical essences and panthenol to help nourish and strengthen each lash.
The mascara has a curved wand:
Here’s the ingredients:
I loved the silver tubing, very luxe! But how did it perform on my lashes?!
Here’s how it looks:
I give this mascara two thumbs up!
It didn’t clump on my lashes, which is always a huge plus. The wand was easy to use, too. I am always iffy on curved wands, but I did find that it allowed me to get at my inner lashes a bit better, which is always more difficult with straight wands.
Turn Up the Volume did give me volume, while keeping my lashes separated and not mushing them together. I didn’t find that it gave me any more additional length, but I was happy that it covered my lashes to the ends without clumping.
I also liked that I didn’t get raccoon eyes! Who else hates raccoon eyes from mascara and black liner mid-way through the day?! *raises hand*
As far as the nourishment, I haven’t used it consistently enough to comment on the benefits of the mascara on the health of my lashes!
Turn Up the Volume retails for $4.99, and is sold at mass market retailers nationwide – I’ve seen it in the permanent display at Walgreens, for example!
Have you tried Turn Up the Volume? What do you think? Do you look for a volumizing mascara, or a lengthening? Or do you prefer something else?! I’d love to hear your thoughts on what your perfect mascara does!
