Happy Monday fellow beauty and polish addicts!!

(haha, tricked ya! Happy TUESDAY ;) )

The days are getting warmer here in South Jersey, and with the sunshine, blooming flowers and trees, I am craving color even more than usual!

In addition to wearing things like my bright light blue spring jacket and my flip flops, I’m craving bright, and pastel shades on my digits. So when these three Pixi Nail Colour polishes showed up at my door I *squee*ed in excitement over the colors.

Pixi has launched three new shades to its Nail Colour line for summer – Fluoro Flamingo, Summer Sunset and Wakeup Wisteria.

“A gorgeous summer nail color can keep you smiling all day long,” said Petra Strand, mum, makeup artist and the woman behind Pixi Beauty, in a press release. It’s true; when you find a color you love, don’t you find yourself staring at your nails randomly, and thoroughly enjoying the look?!

Let’s check ‘em out!

Summer Sunset:

Summer Sunset is a well-pigmented fiery coral with a golden pearly shimmer to it. This was great in two coats. It’s eye-searing in the sun!

Fluoro Flamingo:

Fluoro Flamingo is a beautiful bubble gum neon pink. That first pic really shows off my flaky cuticles, but it really shows the true color of the polish. It’s a nice bright for summer! I love it so much in the shade, actually, that I posted two pics of it out of the sun. This shade really wakes up my fair complexion! Shown here in two coats.

Wakeup Wisteria:

Wakeup Wisteria is a bright pop of lavender creme. Another one good in two coats. This is a perfect spring OR summer purple.

I was impressed with the Pixi formula. Everything was well pigmented and easy to apply. The brush handle/cap is a little longer than I’m used to, but it didn’t make application awkward at all. The bottle is slender, which makes it easy to put in between my thighs as I paint – I tend to paint my nails with my hand on my thigh and the bottle stayed put without slipping!

The brush itself is not wide, maybe around a medium width, to slightly smaller. It’s great for smaller nail beds. I was really able to control application with little need for cleanup around the cuticles.

The colors are dupable, but they’re great summer colors.

The Pixi Nail Colour line includes 14 other colors: Very Violet, Real Rose, Paradise Pink, Summer Pink, Coral Cabana, Vivid Coral, Mink Grey, Amazing Amethyst, Classy Cocoa, Evening Emerald, Metallic Mermaid, Luminous Lilac, Fresh Red and Opal Sheen.

Pixi nail polish is available online at www.PixiBeauty.com, Target or www.Target.com. It retails for $8 a bottle, for .25 fl oz.

Have you ever tried Pixi Nail Colour? Do these summer colors pique your interest?! I think Fluoro Flamingo screams poolside to me!!
