Who’s ready for spring and summer?
*Raises hand and snaps fingers like a school kid trying to get the teacher’s attention*
OPI Euro Centrale Spring-Summer 2013 Collection has some nice selections that get me in the mood for the upcoming milder weather…because people, my cuticles can NOT take much more of this cold!
I chose 10 of the 12 polishes, leaving behind the pink creme and the glitter. I thought maybe I was leaving a couple behind because I know my limitations but really, how can I say that when I still bought 10 of them?! LOL
How about some swatches?!
You’re Such a Budapest:
You’re Such a Budapest is a pretty lilac creme. I didn’t pick this one up at first when I initially picked from the collection. After starting to see it pop up on blogs and social media, I knew I had to have it!
Vant to Bite My Neck?:
Vant to Bite My Neck? is a gorgeous pop of purple creme! This is one of my favorites – it’s just enough vamp but the tone makes it a great winter to spring to summer transitional polish!
My Vampire is Buff:
My Vampire is Buff is a nice, bright ecru shade. This is going to be a base for nail art. I feel it coming!
My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours:
My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours is a piping hot orange red. Ay papi! Nothing says “90 degree” weather better than a hot orange polish!!
I saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw:
I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw is a gorgeous, dark dusty blue creme. This is another one of my favorites.
Hands Off My Kielbasa!:
Hands Off My Kielbasa! is a peachy pink with golden shimmer. A little frosty. This appealed to me in the bottle and it’s pretty, but it’s not my favorite.
OPI…Eurso Euro reminds me of the blue version of Vant. It’s like Vant’s blue-blooded sister. I LOVE this bright pop of vampy color for the fairer seasons.
Can’t Find My Czechbook:
Can’t Find my Czechbook is a pretty turquoise blue creme for spring/summer. This is another one I have nail art in mind for…
A Woman’s Prague-ative:
A Woman’s Prague-ative is orange fire! It is a flecked shimmer that is at once copper and gold. It’s really pretty and I love how it looks in the shade as much as in the natural light.
Oy-Another Polish Joke!:
Oy-Another Polish Joke is a pretty flecked gold polish, but another one that I didn’t initially pick up. I decided I DID want it after thinking about her possibilities. I wasn’t satisfied with it on its own. I needed to see it over other polishes in the collection. So I brought it home and I put it over You’re Such a Budapest:
And I fell in love. And then I put it over Vant to Bite My Neck?:
Then I asked it to marry me!
Ok, so I really didn’t, but I really love it over the other polishes LOL. I love it over the vampy color.
Overall, these were typical OPI formula to me. Nothing too streaky (some brush strokes with Hands Off My Kielbasa! that would be managed with top coat) and nothing unruly. No weird brushes, no odd smells. Just the quality I’ve come to expect when I’m buying OPI. Some of the names make me groan and roll my eyes, but some are funny – I’m partial to “Can’t Find My Czechbook.”
Three blues – OPI won me over right there with this collection. Then you add in the purple, and the gold that can be used as a top coat, too, and I’m happy! I really enjoyed the variety in this collection.
So, anyone else pick up any of the Euro Centrale Collection? What’s your favorite?! How many did you pick up?! What do you think of the names?!
