I love me some lippies!
The Lise Watier Pastel Power Spring 2013 Collection has two, and a lip liner to match.
I couldn’t wait to try out Rouge Plumpissimo in Corail Punch ($21).
And I loved how it looked on me:
This lipstick was creamy and moisturizing. It didn’t dry out after a couple hours, and the color hung in there until lunchtime, which is always a good barometer for me in staying power! It looks very natural with my fair complexion.
I love this lipstick, and I would recommend the formula.
I wasn’t as in love with the other lippie in this collection, Power Kiss Lip Gloss.
The gloss has a pleasant, light floral smell that reminds me of early spring and Easter. It has a very sheer tint of peach. It’s mildly tacky. No real negative qualities, except I didn’t notice a lot of product coming out on the small doe-foot applicator.
My swatch is a bit weird; I had gotten foundation on my upper lip and part of my lower lip, which is why the gloss looks nude in this photo.
For me, this gloss isn’t practical. For $21, I just don’t consider this a bargain or a must-have. It’s a sheer gloss, plain and simple. If you live and die by sheer glosses for your lips, then by all means please check this out – again, the packaging is beautiful and it will be a win for you. But if you are like me and sheer or clear glosses are a complement to the lipstick you’re wearing now and then, go to the drugstore and check out Wet n’ Wild or N.Y.C.
These products are available from February through April on the Lise Watier site (linked to in the first paragraph).
Have you ever tried Rouge Plumpissimo yet? Are you intrigued by Lise Watier yet, after this weeke’s reviews?! And tell me, do you love clear and sheer glosses?
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
