Maybelline Color Show Sequins – my picks!

Maybelline released a limited edition set of Color Show lacquers only for November called Sequins (check out my original post here!), and when I found the display at Walmart, I snatched up a couple!

The two I picked were Sapphire Masquerade and Cocktail Dress. They seemed unique in the bottle, but I wasn’t sure if they would be glitter top coats, or opaque. I was hoping they would be opaque.

So how did they fare?! Check out my swatches!

Sapphire Masquerade:

Sapphire Masquerade is gorgeous! Different sizes of blue glitter, medium-sized hex-shaped magenta glitter, all in a blue jelly base. I don’t own anything like this, and I love that it’s opaque in two coats!

Cocktail Dress:

Cocktail Dress is fine charcoal glitter and regular red glitter in a charcoal jelly base. Another stunner! Another that was opaque in two coats. Another one that’s unique in my collection!

My experience with these limited edition lacquers was overall positive! I picked two unique colors, the polishes had a great formula and they were easy to apply.

The only bad news is that these lacquers – SRP $3.99 – are only available in the month of November! That means whatever is left at this point, is all there is!

If you haven’t yet, and you like what you see, you need to hunt down these beauties! I hope Maybelline continues to experiment with the Color Show line – or with nail polish in general, because the results of this latest release are really glam!

So what do you think – did you pick up any Color Show Sequins yet?! Share which ones you love in the comments below!
