It’s time to vote…for your skin care!

Next week is very important for the United States. It’s another presidential election!

But today, I have a different type of election!

To celebrate our right to vote next week, I’m having a U.S.-only giveaway of two St. Ives lotions – but the only mandatory entry is to answer the question – which lotion would YOU vote for?! (See Rafflecopter contest entry further down!)

Skin Renewing

St. Ives Skin Renewing Lotion is our first candidate! It’s a nice, light lotion that doesn’t feel greasy, settles into my skin, and helps me feel moisturized for hours.

Instructions and Ingredients:

It has a gentle scent; I could detect the shea butter in it. I didn’t test-drive this lotion for my usual two-week minimum, but so far, almost a week in, I’m loving it.

Intensive Healing

I haven’t gotten the opportunity to try Intensive Healing for myself, which is the other candidate, as I was sent the wrong bottle of lotion. And unfortunately, my plans to go out and purchase a bottle at the beginning of this week to preview for you were foiled by Superstorm Sandy. I tried last night to find one, so that I could report on the ingredients and feel of it, but I couldn’t find it at the Walgreens or Rite Aid that I stopped in.

My contact at St. Ives, which is graciously hosting the giveaway, did send me a photo:

Intensive Healing, according to the St. Ives website, helps to “naturally restore, relieve and protect your skin to visible health… Proven to help heal even the most severely dry skin, St. Ives Intensive Healing lotion is clinically proven to lock in moisture for 24 hours, helping to maintain skin’s moisture balance and keep it hydrated over time. With 100% natural moisturizers, this formula also contains an exclusive blend of natural healing ingredients known to:

  • Restore dry skin with the skin-nourishing moisturization of Olive Leaf Extract.
  • Relieve dry, itchy skin with the nutrient rich antioxidant, Cranberry Seed Oil.
  • Prevent future damage and improve skin’s health with Grape Seed Oil.
  • Moisturizing Cocoa Butter to smooth and even texture.
  • Mango Seed Butter to help protect and heal dry skin.

Naturally Smooth

This lotion (which is actually pictured in the very first photo at the top, the one on the right!) is the one that was sent in error. I didn’t want to ignore this bottle, so I thought it might be worth it to say that I’m digging this one as well so far. I’ll post a separate review. I don’t want to confuse people with the giveaway!

Giveaway!

It’s time to choose….which candidate do you think would work for your skin?! You’ll have a chance to try both (which, um, could never happen in a real election but…) but I want to know which one you think will do the job best for you!

See the Rafflecopter below for details!

You have between today and next Friday at 12:01 a.m. to enter and win both the Skin Renewing and Intensive Healing lotions! U.S. residents only, prize sent to winner by PR/Manufacturer.

I’d go for the Intensive healing since it sounds the strongest. I’ve got super dry skin. I have never tried St Ives, and would be interested in reading your reviews.
