If you love holographic, glitzy polishes, then you really can’t miss out on the Zoya Ornate collection!
Ornate, Zoya’s holiday offering, is six beautiful and celebratory polishes that shimmer and glow. Not one of these polishes disappointed me! With this collection, I felt like I skipped right over Thanksgiving and Christmas and went straight into ringing in the New Year.
Let’s celebrate together with some swatches!
Electra is holographic bar glitter in a clear base. It’s nearly opaque in two coats – I don’t own any bar glitters with that kind of coverage! With a third coat, I will wear Electra on its own. This type of polish always reminds me of New Year’s Eve. That night, the glitzier the better!
Aurora is a beautiful grape packed with holographic glitter. This polish is stunning! I don’t even know what else to say, I think the pictures speak for themselves!
Blaze is a pink version of Aurora. Same holographic glitter. For some reason, Blaze freaked out my camera – I had trouble getting the holo in this polish to come through but it is just as gorgeous in real life as Aurora.
Ziv is a beautiful gold and silver foil. I couldn’t resist, I wanted to see Electra over Ziv, but it’s so pretty on its own I just did an accent nail:
Electra adds an extra “POW!” to Ziv!
Logan is a gorgeous green with golden shimmer. I love Zoya, but I think Zoya’s shimmers are my favorite. This polish totally reminds me of a Christmas tree with golden tinsel! I also couldn’t help but put Electra on an accent nail over Logan, as well!
Another beautiful combo!
Storm is like the galaxy – black loaded with holographic glitter, like Aurora and Blaze. As a huge fan of the cosmos, this polish quickly became one of my favorites as I tried them all out!
Overall, I had no application issues with these polishes. The formula is great, typical Zoya. I was pleasantly surprised how opaque Electra is!
Even though Electra looks great over Ziv and Logan, I really feel like this is a collection of polishes meant to be worn as individual polishes vs. layered over each other. I love that, but also like the versatility of layering Electra if I want to. I loved last year’s Gems and Jewels collection, but I think I might be feeling this year’s more.
The Ornate collection is sold together for $48, or individually for $8 a piece through Zoya’s website (collection is linked to above).
