Kat Von D Shade Shifter Eyeshadow in Devotion

I’ve only tried one of Kat Von D’s new Shade Shifter eyeshadows, which are water-activated duochrome eyeshadows, but I’m in love.

Devotion is a beautiful sunset golden color that shifts to a peachy color

The swatch on the left is dry, the one on the right is wet.

Here’s a look I did with it. Devotion is from the inside corner of my eye out into the middle of the lid:

I generally never use water to apply my eyeshadows, but the instructions advise you to apply this with a damp sponge (I prefer brushes) so I wet my brush, picked up some shadow and applied – and it was super easy. No streaking or weird application. And it looks so rich and pigmented!

You can definitely see the color shift from the inside of my eye onto the lid, it’s awesome! It looks like I’m wearing different shadows!

I used this over Urban Decay Primer Potion and it lasted all day long into the evening, no creasing.

I wish I could remember what else I used for this look, I believe the lipstick is Sephora + Pantone Universe Lip Luster Lipstick in Cayenne, because I ordered the shadow and the lipstick in the same Sephora.com order!

Have you tried these shadows yet? What do you think of Devotion?!

I love this eyeshadow. I’m going back today to get the purple one and the brownish-burgundy one. I’m not much of a blue eyeshadow type of girl so I may skip the blue one, but these shadows are amazing!

You look great, Judy. It is an awesome colour combo too. I’m digging the large sized pics for sure.
