Julie G Nail Polishes

This pic above is my favorite from my visit with Jesse’s Girl at Cosmoprof North America (held July 22-24, Las Vegas); Julie G created such a pretty line of polishes with the brand!

My first Julie G polish was Bikini. I bought it much earlier in summer, and used it sometime in July. It is a really light pink, but it was neon! In two coats, without a white base, my nails were popping. It’s actually the third from the left on the bottom row of the rack there!

The three Julie G polishes I have to share today are more lighter, creamier shades, but again, they POP.

Gelato in Venice:

Gelato in Venice is a gorgeous, minty green. The formula was great. This was opaque in two coats. It reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream!

Fairytale:

Fairytale is a soft, whimsical lavendar. Again, this one was opaque in two coats. I feel very feminine in this one.

9 to 5:

9 to 5 is a light – but bright! – neon peach. Again, two coats, a little bit of a bald spot on my pointer finger but I think that was more me missing that spot on my nail than the polish.

Overall, these three shades are beautiful. They would look amazing in a water marble! Together, they make me crave rainbow sherbet!

I’m sure there are dupes out there; 9 to 5 reminds me of NCLA Poolside Party, All Eyes On Me!, for example.

Julie G lacquers retail for $3.99 on the Jesse’s Girl website, and can be found in Rite Aid.

What I think is cool about this line is that a beauty vlogger had a hand in creating it. When nail bloggers and vloggers do things like this, we get polishes and products that we clamor for, because they know what we’re missing and what we want more of. Look at Cult Nails, for example, and Unicorn Puke/Clairvoyent.

I have to admit, I never heard of Julie G until I met her last summer at Cosmoprof. I never really got into YouTube and don’t really follow beauty gurus there, but I have checked her out since and her videos are great.

I wrote a bit from my talk with Julie G in my post yesterday so I won’t yammer on about her, but I think she’s very sweet, and it’s really thrilling to hear about someone in the vlogging or blogging community who meets success!

Have you seen the Julie G line? What do you think? Do you have a favorite?
