Inglot Hawaiian Bar EOTD

This summer, I’m really feeling brights and neons more than in recent summers of the past. I’m drawn to highlighter yellow accessories, fluorescent  green nails, hot pink shoes, and I love my bright orange skirt!

For my makeup, I am LOVING corals and pinks for my cheeks and lips and summery, corals and pinks for my lids. It’s no wonder I was drawn to the Hawaiian Bar selection at Inglot. I couldn’t wait to use some of my Inglot shadows, including these Hawaiian Bar shades, for an eye of the day (EOTD) after I picked them up in NYC! I wanted to share the look with you!

Here’s individual pan shots of the Inglot shades, from my Freedom System palette, that I used. The first three are from the Hawaiian Bar:

#311

#314

#612:

#361

#60

I also used:

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Eyeliner in Electric
  • Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara in Very Black (waterproof)

For my face, I can’t recall what I used for my lips! I did use Maybelline’s BB Cream in the lightest shade, and a new Inglot Hawaiian bar blush – I think it’s #50!? It’s the brightest coral blush!

Here’s how it all looked!

I loved this eye look! I wish I’d picked up more of the blushes, and tried out some of the nail polish, though! I did tone down my blush a little after I took these photos. I just take a tissue and wipe some of the excess color off. If you ever want to see how your makeup truly looks…take pictures of it! LOL

I generally steer clear of eye looks in summer. It’s hard to keep your makeup from melting off your face, and frankly I’d rather not feel mascara and shadows weighing down my eyes when I’m wiping sweat from my brow. But when the weather isn’t above 90 degrees and I get the chance to play with color on the weekends, I’m all over it!

My only complaint about my Inglot shadows is that they crack and break so easily. They are my FAVORITE brand, but every one of my Hawaiian Bar shadows are cracked and a piece of one broke. I don’t know if this is because I lift the pans up with a fine-pointed dental instrument so I can rearrange palettes and check shade numbers, but it’s disappointing. I am terrified to travel with them next week, but I really want to bring a couple of my Freedom System palettes.

So have you checked out anything from Inglot’s Hawaiian Bar? What colors are you drawn to this summer?!

Allison, I’m so glad they are selling in Macy’s! I hope they come to a Macy’s near me in South Jersey or in Philly! They have come such a long way since entering the US market three years ago!

Thanks for the closeup photos, they really show the colors well! I am completely obsessed with Inglot and these colors are so pretty. In the photo of the freedom palette, is #612 the second one in from the right in the top row?

Thanks Catherine! Actually, 612 is second from the left in the bottom row! I am also obsessed with Inglot, especially their shadows. *dies*!!

Aloha Judy! I love the colors you used from this palette. Wish we have Inglot branch here in Hawaii though xo

Thanks Kath! It’s ashame that there’s no brick-and-mortar store, but if it helps you can order online! I’m sure there are plenty of other bloggers (I think Temptalia, as an example) that have swatched several shadows or almost all of them, that could help you in figuring out what you’d want :)

I’m hoping to head over to the Macy’s that carried Inglot to check out the collection. The email I got made them look awesome.

    Great look!
