Wet n’ Wild Bright Idea

The next couple weeks will be short on ‘The Beauty Loser’ posts, as I’m heading off on vacation! When I come back, I’m going to resume posting about it. For now, I wanted to share a more in-depth post about the FOTD picture I posted a few weeks back in an early ‘The Beauty Loser’ Update post, which I put together using Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in Bright Idea. Bright Idea is from the Dream Weavers Collection that is much-coveted by drugstore beauty fans!

This particular palette is a vivid trio of pink, green and yellow, and all three were well-pigmented and velvety to the touch! How about a closer look at the pans?

This is a hot pink with shiny pink shimmer.

The crease color is a green with golden shimmer.

The browbone color is a bright yellow with shimmer.

And swatches! The top half of the swatch is over Urban Decay Primer Potion and the bottom half is on my naked skin:

I couldn’t help it; I was pretty much papparazzi taking pictures of this palette – it’s so vibrant!

Here’s a FOTD I created using all three colors from the palette:

I should have done a bit more blending between the browbone color and crease, but I like the boldness of the look. In addition to the palette and UDPP, I know I used Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in #4, and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara. The rest of my makeup escapes me, although I would put money on my use of Clinique’s Redness Solutions foundation!

Bright Idea is another win in the Dream Weavers collection – so far, all the palettes I’ve used have been a win! Bright Idea, however, is probably the most daring of the six palettes! And for $2.99, how can you not want to buy and experiment with a palette like this, if you revel in a love of color like I do?!

What do you think of Bright Idea?  Did you pick any of the palettes up? What are your thoughts? Share in the comments below!
