One of the brands I was most impressed with at the Cosmoprof show was Essie.
This brand has gone far out of it’s old box of conservative French manicure and neutral pinky colors and really stepped into its own with trendy colors made with a quality formula!
I hadn’t seen the fall collection, Carry On, until today. The names are inspired by bags/purses. It’s a nice collection of mostly muted, dusty cremes:
Check out the polish, second to the last on the right – that’s Very Structured. It’s a muted burnt sienna. It’s a really pretty creme in person – a must-have for me from this collection! It went on sale yesterday, Aug. 1!
Next up are nine new polishes that are not being launched in a display, but have been tested in the market and will be introduced into the core line this October. They include Oui Madame, Master Plan, Mochachino, Miami Nice, Jamaica Me Crazy, Trophy Wife, Beach Bum Blue, Devil’s Advocate and Dive Bar:
Look at the pretties! Being crazed over duo, I have to focus on the gorgeous duochrome in there called Dive Bar:
I’m not sure Dive Bar is unique in color but this is unique for Essie, and I can not WAIT to try it out in the Essie formula! Dive Bar is purple, green, blue duochrome – it is GORGEOUS – totally swoon-worthy!!!
Dive Bar will also be featured, along with two other polishes from the nine new core colors, in the New Year’s Eve metallics collection called Dive Bar. The three other colors in the collection are existing colors, including Sexy Divide:
Before I get into the winter collection, I would be remiss to forget the Raise Awareness promotion, for breast cancer awarenes:
This year’s breast cancer awareness color, Raise Awareness, is a light shade of pink, but darker than last years. Essie supports Living Beyond Breast Cancer in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – which is October.
Now! How about the winter collection?!
Cocktail Bling is a nice collection of seemingly transitional colors – It’s like to think of those lighter shades as “can’t wait for spring” colors But they are pretty – check out School of Hard Rocks up close:
That’s the color on Melissa’s nail – Melissa was the one telling me all about the collections
Finally, the piece de resistance The Luxeffects collection.
WOWSERS. Bold glitters:
Can you see the bigger flakes of glitter in this gold one, too?:
I didn’t get a shot of the pearly white shimmer top coat – it is really beautiful too. The gold is called As Gold As It Gets, flakie is Shine of the Times and the pink glitter is A Cut Above. Silver glitter is Set in Stones.
Phew! So what do you think, friends?! See anything that stands out!? I see so much! I can not wait to play around with those Luxeffects over the other polishes coming out.
