I’m still a bit annoyed at having spent $8.99 on that L’Oreal The One Sweep shadow trio, and as I thought about it today, and read your comments, I was reminded of really great products I’ve gotten really cheap. Like the holiday Color Icon palettes from Wet N’ Wild. For $4.99 a piece, I got four, well-pigmented, six eye shadow palettes that looked great when I created looks. On most looks, I even used all six shadows at one time.
Snow Sprite:
Night Elf:
Bronze Goddess:
Sugar Plum Fairy (I think that’s the name!):
This isn’t a proper review of the palettes, just me continuing to rant and loving on other drug store brands that haven’t disappointed me. So here’s a quick look at a FOTD I did with the Snow Sprite palette! Although I used all six colors when I used most of the palettes, I used just the green colors in Snow Sprite for this look:
I don’t remember what else I used for this look. But the point is, look at how pigmented those shadows are over UDPP! They are velvety! Easy to use with a brush! The palettes were $4.99! No gimmick. Just straight up pretty eye shadow palettes.
Phew. Ok. Off my soap box.

Nice to have a very cheap brand work so well. I was so tempted by these palettes. I have those big palettes from Coastal Scents so I didn’t cave in. I like those greens. Your eyes look so pretty.

It makes you wonder how WnW can do something so good so cheap, when the others can’t. And not to rub salt in your wound, but I bought all 4 of these when they had the 50% off sale at Walgreen’s.
Have fun with them!
