Finger Paints Seduced by Fall 2010

My mom and I stopped by our local Sally’s to use our coupons, and found a full Finger Paints Seduced by Fall display, near a much-picked over China Glazed Vintage Vixen display.

There could be reasons why it wasn’t as picked over – it had just gone out, for example – but honestly, the polishes just aren’t that exciting.

They’re been there, done that colors and the colors in the collection are kicked up a notch in other collections. For example, Autumn Moonlight vs. China Glaze Midnight Mission – ChG wins that battle, to me!)

I debated what to do. Buy the collection, or just a few? Or any at all? This was the first time I made a purchase with the idea of posting for my blog. I usually pick up polishes because they appeal to me, and I like them, but I was only moved to pick these ones up because I wanted to swatch them here. Good thing I had an amazing coupon!!!

Autumn Moonlight:

Autumn Moonlight is a less glittery version of China Glaze’s Midnight Mission. It’s an inky vamp.

Autumn Allure:

Autumn Allure is a frosty taupe. A step behind the gre-iolet trend?

Autumn Blaze:

Autumn Blaze is a wine red shimmer. It looks brighter than wine in my photos, I think that’s a subtle pink glow from the polish that I am sitting here searching for in the bottle as I write!

I left behind three of the six colors – Harvest Hues, which was a green shimmer, a plum creme and another frosty color I can’t remember.

I guess I shouldn’t knock the collection. These are nice fall colors. They just don’t jump out at me like some of fall’s other offerings do.

Regardless, application was fine, and coverage – all opaque in two coats for me. I believe they are $4.49 a piece at Sally’s.

What do you think of these? Taking them all or taking a pass?

I don’t own any FingerPaints. I haven’t seen anything that special. These polishes are pretty but nothing to run over to Sally’s for. I ordered the whole complete China Glaze Collection.
