I promised you NOTD posts this week to demonstrate what you can do with the AWESOME Konad Set A that I’m giving away, compliments of KissMyPinky.com! Please read the contest deets here!
So I’ll post that first, and then get into my six other China Glaze glitt-ahs for you!!
I purposely photographed this inside. Erin Island by Quirius. Isn’t it an eye-popper!? I love it, I hated Konading over it. I put two coats of polish over LavendeRx by Diamond Cosmetics and one coat of Orly Ridgefiller.
Here’s Erin Island with two designs from plate M07. I used China Glaze Cherish for stamping:
I also used LA Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Green Glitter for inside the bigger design.
Now back to our regularly scheduled glitter-fest!
Today I’m showing you swatches of six new China Glaze glitter polishes you can find at Sally Beauty Supply. Three are featured on the cover of their September circular (which also includes a $1 off coupon on the purchase of two China Glaze polishes!) and they’re in a rectangular display.
They were on sale for $5, although the nonglitter colors that are displayed with the glitters were not – they were $5.99.
First up! Nova:
Nova is a clear base with big and small silver and holo glitters. I only used two coats but I imagine with another coat or two it’d be full coverage, glittery gorgeous-ness. There was a silver polish, Millenium, next to this on the display. I picked it up after I did all these swatches. Again, I held off on posting these for the last two weeks to see if China Glaze would get back to me to tell us more about this collection but, I didn’t hear and I didn’t see a reason to wait.
Next up is Atlantis:
And a close-up of the bottle:
Atlantis is a blue-green base with teal, blue, green and silver big and small glitters! This reminds me of the ocean in the Florida Keys. My parents and I took a drive down there one weekend since we lived a couple hours away in Tamarac Fla. (ever so briefly…when I was in seventh grade…). The ocean was blue-green! Atlantis is in my top favorites from the new glitters.
Next up is Twenty-Four K:
The formula on this was a bit runny, but in two coats I got full coverage. I expected brush strokes but you can’t really see those. Twenty-Four K provided a great base for Medallion:
When I saw these two together my first thought was “VEGAS BABY!” I got excited thinking that this is the combo I would wear when I go to Vegas for work next month…then I realized I was going for work and that I needed more toned-down polish. I may not be wearing this in Vegas, but this will be great for the holidays!
Next up! In Awe of Amber:
This polish looks a bit duochrome in my picture but it really isn’t. Again, In Awe of Amber was a bit runny, but good in two coats. I’d wear this one alone, but I thought the best part about it was putting Cleopatra over top:
*sigh* She’s gorgeous, Cleopatra! Although this reminds me a bit of Ginger (from yesterday’s post) it’s a different tone of copper.
So there you have it! What do you think of these new China Glaze glitters?! Are you excited about the new ones becoming available at Victoria Nail Supply?!
