Too Faced Fall: Metal-Eyed and Living in Sin

I went to pick up some nail polish remover from Ulta but of course, I can’t go into a makeup store and not look at the makeup!

I found a whole array of new Too Faced products. I’m not sure if they’re fall or late summer or just new products, especially since the only thing I found on the web site was the new lipstick shade and none of the other products yet. But there was a new eye palette called Natural Eye, an “Absolutely Invisible Candlelight” shimmery powder and a face primer. But these were my favorites:

If you’ve been reading awhile, you know I love liquid liner. Too Faced has awesome glitter eyeliners (Starry Eyed Liner), and I thought this stuff would be equally as awesome. The one I tried has a shimmery, metallic blue with a bit of multicolor shimmer. Here it is on my eye:

Too Faced eyeshadows: Vixen in the crease, Steel Magnolias on the lid and up to brow and Glamazon in the middle of the lid. Twilight liner.

The color is awesome, but the application was not as easy as applying comparably priced Urban Decay or even drugstore, $2-$3 Wet N’ Wild liquid liner! Instead of sweeping on color in a nice line, it looked like this:

Metal-Eyed liner applied with a faint line in the middle of two thick lines of liner. I had to really play with it to fill the gaps.

It felt like the brush was just pushing the color around, not really applying it. I was disappointed.

I didn’t take a picture of Lip Luxury in Living in Sin because none of the face shots I took looked good. The lipstick looks great – it’s a great creamy plum and perfect for fall! – but I was just having a bad face day.

Ugh. On a totally unrelated note – have you ever felt that way? Like you’re having a bad face day? I wasn’t into putting on my eye makeup so I didn’t coverup the purple under my eyes. I didn’t use mascara. I didn’t even use Urban Decay Primer Potion before the eyeshadow. Blah.

Anyway! Thumbs down on the liner – fantastic color, bad brush (I even tried it twice to make sure!). Thumbs up for the lipstick for color, application and creaminess!
